2016 SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL MATH OLYMPIAD CHALLENGE

SSIS also congratulates Michael Gerard R. Tongson for winning a Gold Medal from the recently concluded Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge. Michael was among the 760 participating students from 15 countries who competed during the SIMOC. The competition was held last August 13-14, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Institution Junior in Singapore.

The Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC) is a mathematics competition which not only tests the ability of students to solve mathematical problems on pen and paper but also tests their ability to work as a team and play interactive mathematical games and solve puzzles. It also gives opportunity for students to compete with top mathematical talents around the world and learn from each other as a team.

We would also like to congratulate the coaches: Teacher Jeanel Sanchez, Tr. Carolain Kennan, and Ms. Jeanne Lago for training the students and encouraging them to always do their best; also to the proud parents who continuously trained and supported Syd, Jomer, and Michael. Congratulations again to our 3 amazing little Kings! You have brought honor to our country and to SSIS. We are very proud of you! Quant Je Puis!
