Stonyhurst Southville International School is characterized by its friendly, safe, secure and enjoyable learning environment. The building of the new state-of-the-art Malarayat Campus is seen as one of the milestones to ensure that SSIS remains on the path of continuous and significant improvement.
With the requirement to create an instantly recognizable architectural icon for the city but with initially minimal spatial needs. The approach for the design team is to provide a large roof over the school building that reaches over the vehicular and pedestrian entrances to establish a strong presence in the vicinity. The sharp angles of the roof is meant to stand for the student’s sharp minds and bodies developed by the schools international standards of teaching and competitive sports. The sharp angles also remind one of the paper-folded air-plane recognized by the children around the world to foster unity among people of different backgrounds and to symbolize the schools vision to make every child soar and fulfill his dreams by providing the best education during his formative years. Phase 1, which compromise the ground and second floors, provide a base for the future four storey building and soaring roof.
The strong demand for international education in the nearby city of Lipa and the increasing number of SSIS clients coming from the different cities of Batangas Province encouraged the management to put up Stonyhurst Southville International School, Malarayat Campus in June 2007.
In a short space of time, the school embarked on a further and important venture. In 2010, Stonyhurst Southville International School shortly after its groundbreaking IN 2009, transferred to its new home called the SSIS Malarayat campus where it continued on fostering and nurturing our students, achieving academic and values excellence.
