When was SSIS founded?
SSIS was founded in 1996 in Gulod Itaas, Batangas City. After 10 years, it extended its wings and built a new campus in Lipa City, which is now the SSIS - Malarayat Campus.
Who heads Stonyhurst
The founder and Chairman of the Board is Sir Peter P. Laurel while the Executive Mentor is Dr. Genevieve Ledesma-Tan. Top management includes Mr. Lawrence Buck (Director for SGEN), Dr. Marl V. Ferenal (President), and Dr. Beng Yague (Vice-President). The principal of SSIS-Malarayat is Ms. Donnabelle L. Atienza and the principal of SSIS-Batangas is Mr. Anthony Calado.
What is SGEN?
SSIS is a proud member of Southville Global Education Network (SGEN), which is composed of 7 schools namely Southville International School and Colleges (SISC), Southville Foreign University (SFU), Stonyhurst Southville International School – Malarayat Campus (SSIS-M), Stonyhurst Southville International School – Batangas Campus (SSIS-B), South Mansfield College (SMC), Social Environment and Educational Development Foundation Academy (SEEDFA), and South Seed LPDH College.
What makes SSIS truly International?
SSIS is international through Republic Act 9493 signed by former Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Its accrediting bodies include the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC, USA) and Certification International (CI). The SSIS Curriculum is based on International Standards.
What is Quant Je Puis?
The motto of SSIS is Quant Je Puis. This is a French term that means “As Best as I can.”
What are the 5Cs?
The 5Cs is the anchor and center of SSIS Curriculum. These 5Cs are Competence, Character, Commitment to Achieve, Collaboration and Creativity.
